Biologics are a relatively new class of therapeutic agents for the treatment of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. Although these immune-modulating agents are relatively safe, their use can precipitate true emergencies. An understanding of their benefits and risks will help the emergency physician prepare for an emergent adverse event.
